One of the largest flowers in the world, up to about 80 centimetres across, with no leaves, stem or roots of its own. It grows on a forest vine and blooms for only a few days. Poring in Kinabalu Park, Sabah, is a well-known place to see it; ask the rangers where one is flowering.
