Local Fruits

Malaysia's most recognisable fruit — a bright red ball covered in soft green-tipped hairs ('rambut' means hair). Twist it open for translucent, grape-like flesh that's juicier and less perfumed than lychee. Sold in bunches at every roadside stall for a few ringgit, and the easiest tropical fruit for first-timers to love.
